A Quote That You May Actually Care About (Quickie)

Papers, papers, papers.
I love writing obviously.
But writing for school (aka, something that kind of actually fucking matters)?
Not so much.

So I'll just share something that caught my eye today.
While mindlessly procrastinating on the Internet, I stumbled upon a rarity.
A quote worth a damn.
What makes it even more fascinating is that it comes from our nation's most infamously quiet president, Calvin Coolidge.
A man who actually understood why shutting the fuck up once in a while isn't such a bad idea.

Maybe that explains how when he does give a rare tidbit of advice, it's worth the CO2 emitted:
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent...the slogan “Press On” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
A good reminder for all of us, methinks, myself included (the ridiculous irony of posting this during my current situation is not lost on me).
Natural ability is only useful when the proper work is put in to utilize it.
"Potential" means jackshit unless dedication to fulfilling your calling is present.
Don't believe that's true?

JaMarcus Russell's fat unemployed ass begs to differ.
